Kalakassi is an Indian oil from Assam using plantation kyen woods from the trunk of the tree in a zero soak, drinking water, hydro-steam distillation in 2018. Having aged for over 5 years now, this oil is anything but traditional.
Due to the high resin content of kyen trees, this oil has a diiferent flavour to its tyical indian cousins. That banyard, animalic note is absent, and replaced by a soothing and smokey amber opening progressing into a musky and incense-filled dry down. Unlike other oud oils, this is a real crowdpleaser, and can be worn for other people's enjoyment as well as yours.
